The Sherry puzzle in Resident Evil 2 is made up of wooden blocks and is one of the first things you must solve when you take control of her in the orphanage. She’s been locked up in a creepy kids room, and even here there are obscure puzzles to complete. We’ll show you how to get the spare block you need to start working on the puzzle and how to find its solution below.
How to find the Sherry puzzle solution in Resident Evil 2
The first thing you need to do to solve the orphanage block puzzle in Resident Evil 2 is to find the fourth block. If you examine the puzzle right off the bat, you’ll notice that only three blocks are there.
To find the block, you first have to pick up the Stuffed Doll from the chair. Examine it in your inventory and flip it around. You’ll see a zipper that’s been partially pulled down revealing a wooden item shoved in the doll. Press X or A and Sherry will pull the block out of the doll.
Now, head over to the left of the door and examine the block puzzle on top of the toy box. The first thing you need to do is put the fourth block into place. Then you can start working on the puzzle.
To find the solution to this puzzle you need to match all the shapes along the top and front of each block. Your first and only hint on how to do this is the shapes on the wooden box itself.
On the left side of the box, you can see you need to make a square on the top and a circle on the front with your first piece. On the right side, you must make a triangle on the top and a star on the front.
You can rotate the front of each block and move what order they’re in. The most important part is to make sure you’re matching the blocks with the shapes at either end.
Several blocks will match up with the ends of the box, but when you’ve got it right they should be:
- Top Shapes: Square, Triangle, Circle, Star, Triangle
- Front Shapes: Circle, Square, Star, Square, Star
Once you’ve matched the box correctly, the drawer on the front will open, and you’ll get the scissors.
