Apex Legends Server down

Apex Legends Not Connecting to Server | Server timeout, game won’t launch

Apex Legends is already one of the hottest games around, boasting over 10 million players less than a week after it was both announced and released. While it’s excellent that it’s so popular, a surprise release combined with an extreme surge in popularity is a recipe for server problems. That certainly seems to be the case right now, as players around the world are reporting the error message, “unable to connect to EA servers.” Is the Apex Legends server down? If so, is there anything we can do about the Apex Legends not connecting to server error? Let’s have a look.

Is the Apex Legends server down?

A lot of players are reporting that they are unable to play Apex Legends, and this has been going on for a few hours. For a time it looked like it was fixed, but still the game’s forums continue to be flooded with players saying that they are unable to get in a single match, particularly on PC. Are the Apex Legends servers down at the moment? According to the UK’s Is The Service Down? website, the game has been experiencing server issues for the last few hours (since 15:00 GMT). Most of those reporting the issue unsurprisingly seem to come from the UK, but there are plenty of people in Europe and in scattered areas over the US seeing server issues.

How to fix the “unable to connect to EA servers” error

Sadly, if there are problems with the game’s servers right now, the only way to fix them is to wait until they’re back up. A lot of players around the world have already reported that the issues are fixed for them, so these server issues may only be being experienced in a few areas, or just on PC, since the PS4 version was also having server issues a few hours ago. Regardless, the only thing you can do is be patient and keep occasionally checking the game to see if it works.
