The Far Cry New Dawn download size has been revealed ahead of its February 15 release date. The latest entry in the series is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and we know how much space you’ll need on your hard drive. Find out how much space Far Cry New Dawn will take up with its download size with our guide.
Far Cry New Dawn download size | PC
Far Cry New Dawn will take up 30 GB of space on whatever HDD you use for your PC, according to the game’s Steam page. Some players may wonder why it’ll take more space to download Far Cry New Dawn than its predecessor Far Cry 5 did. However, with the follow up containing side missions that take you outside of Hope County and into the wider world, it isn’t that surprising to see why the Far Cry New Dawn download size is bigger.
Far Cry New Dawn download size | Xbox One
Microsoft’s game store page lists the Far Cry New Dawn download size as slightly smaller than its PC counterpart. Coming in at 27.77GB, this is way less — around 10GB less, in fact — than Far Cry 5 on Xbox One was.
In complete contrast to the PC versions, it seems strange that New Dawn will be smaller on Xbox One even though it has more content. This could be down to PC players having greater power available to them and, therefore, the ability to play with better resolutions.
Far Cry New Dawn download size | PS4
The PS4 Far Cry New Dawn download size is, strangely enough, the smallest of the lot. Call it great optimization or even a more efficient console, the facts remain the same: you’ll only need 24.64 GB free to download the colorful post-apocalyptic follow-up to Far Cry 5. So, if you have all three platforms and are mindful of space, PS4 is your best bet.
