Unlockables
White Agro
Get ALL the items in Hard Time Attack mode and defeat ALL 16 Colossi. Then at the 'Title' screen hold 'Circle'.
Brown Agro
Get ALL the items in Normal or Hard Time Attack mode. Then at the 'Title' screen hold 'Square'.
Unlock Time Attack Mode
This feature becomes available when you complete the game.
Time Attack Rewards
Complete the game once to unlock Time Attack mode and then complete the following tasks in that mode to earn the corresponding reward. To begin a challenge you must walk up to a statue in the temple and pray (press Circle).
- Whistling Arrow - Defeat 2 Colossi.
- Cloak of Force - Defeat 4 Colossi.
- Mask of Strength - Defeat 6 Colossi.
- Lizard Detection Stone - Defeat 8 Colossi.
- Fruit Tree Map - Defeat 10 Colossi.
- Mask of Power - Defeat 12 Colossi.
- Cloak of Deception - Defeat 14 Colossi.
- Flash Arrow/Brown Agro - Defeat ALL Colossi.
Glitches
SuperJump
This will only work on the PAL version of the game.
First you need to make sure the game is set to 50hz. If it's set to 60hz then take your memory card out before you boot up the game, set to 50 and re-insert it at the title screen.
Load up your game or start a new one. In order to do the superjump you need to have a stick or a sword equipped but it will also work with a lightsaber. Start running in any direction and perform a running jump.
Right after you hit Triangle, hit Square. The timing needs to be exact or it won't work. You should see him fly farther and higher than he normally would. Keep practicing the jump, it will come in handy when you'll need to get to Yorda quick. You can also use the jump to skip major parts of the game.Easter Eggs
Alternative Ending
You have to have completed the game at least once before you can get this ending. When Ico wakes up on the beach near the end of the game, go all the way over to where the cliffs are and continue up the beach. Along the way you should see a large rock and a couple of watermelons near it. Pick up one of them and proceed up the beach until you reach Yorda. You will now be treated with a slightly humorous end video but for some reason this does not work on the US version of the game.

Increase health and stamina with Lizards and Fruit. |
The white lizards crawling around in many areas of the game can be eaten to increase Stamina. Equip the bow and shoot a lizard, then press the Circle button to pick up and eat it. |
Reminiscence Mode |
After killing a Colossus, you can go back to their petrified bodies and, by pressing Circle, your character will kneel down and pray. This opens Reminiscence Mode, a mode where you can find the Colossus again as though it were a flashback. |
The Short Way to the Secret Garden. |
You do not need to beat the game 4 times to reach the secret garden. All you have to do is work on your diagonal jump. When you grab a climbable wall you have to hold jump and the left analog stick diagonally up until your character swings his arm. Once he does this, let go of the jump button and you will scale the wall diagonally without using a large amount of stamina. Before you decide to reach the secret garden, it is advisable to defeat aprocimately 7 colossi so you can acquire enough stamina to take on the task. You could also search for white-tailed lizards. To reach the secret garden, you have to locate the wall of ivy on the northeast side of the temple shrine. You can use your horse and just jump off into the wall of ivy in order to save stamina. Follow it all the way up until you reach a ledge on the right and go around it. Leap across to the visible moss and keep going around the second ledge above. Once you get to the other side, you have to go around yet another ledge, which is a little bit below your position. You will reach a circular pillar that you have to jump onto. This is easily done by putting yourself directly opposite of it and then jumping across. The moss will lead you a little bit towards the left to a small walkway. Follow the stairs to the secret garden. Enjoy, but do not eat the fruit because it will decrease your health permanently. |
