A Metro Exodus PC quick time event bug is causing players to tear their hair out. The glitch doesn’t allow the game to register when a key is being hit and, in some instance, is causing players to die. Find out how to fix the Metro Exodus PC quick time event bug with our guide.
Metro Exodus PC quick time event bug
In essence, the Metro Exodus PC quick time event bug causes the game to fail in registering when a key is being hit. For instance, one Reddit user – osound – started a new thread on the game’s page to query how to resolve a particular issue they were having.
During one QTE, players are forced tap the E key to stop a ghoul from attacking and killing them. For osound, however, repeatedly tapping the right key doesn’t do anything, and sees the ghoul take them apart. This isn’t the only instance of this problem, and there are a couple of things you can try to fix it.

To resolve the Metro Exodus PC quick time event bug, you can attempt a couple of quick fixes. First, make sure that your key bindings haven’t been changed whilst you have been playing. It’s possible that the E key is not assigned to this particular action, so ensure that you haven’t swapped it for another in the game’s control menu settings.
If this is the correct key, stay in settings and locate the option that allows you to change the QTE prompts button pressing. You can toggle between “repeated press”, “hold button”, and “just press once.” One of these make work better for you, rather than mashing the key.
Finally, if all else fails, you may need to use a controller to complete these sections. An Xbox One controller, for example, lets you hit the X button to complete the QTE, so try this method if the other two don’t work.
