The Division 2 Clans | How to set up a Clan

In one of many additions over the original game, you can set up Clans in The Division 2. You will want to set up or join a Clan to receive numerous benefits. Read on to find out all you need to know about Clans. This will include what they are, how to set up a Clan in The Division 2, and what benefits they offer.

What are The Division 2 Clans?

The Division 2 Clans

A new addition in The Division 2, Clans can really help you out. You are always stronger with allies and Clans are your best bet of finding them. Essentially, as part of a Clan, you will be able to socialize and team up with like-minded Division 2 players. Ease of finding fellow similar players isn’t the only benefit to Clans, however.

If you become a member of a Clan, you will be awarded Clan XP. This will unlock a variety of new perks, collaborative objectives, and even exclusive cosmetic items. Being a member of a Clan will be worthwhile, trust us.

Each Clan can hold a maximum of 50 player accounts. This means that, with the four characters each player can create, there can be a total of 200 Division 2 agents in any one Clan. Whether your group is solo play or co-op focussed, you will earn Clan XP for being a part of it. All playstyles are welcome here. Bear in mind, however, that you will have to invite other players to join a Clan if you set one up.

The Division 2 Clans | How to set up and join a Clan

The Division 2 Clans

Unfortunately, you can only create and join Division 2 Clans on the same platform. You cannot, for example, create a Clan that houses players across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. PS4 Clans are for PS4 players only, and so on. Thankfully, though, setting up a Clan is a relatively simple process.

In order to create or join a Clan in The Division 2, you will need to first recruit the NPC character Grace Larson to your ranks. Thankfully, this should be simple enough. Ms. Larson can be found in the Theater Settlement. It’s the second major settlement after The White House, so you’ll unlock Clans relatively early on. Following the natural story missions will take you to Grace Larson in the Theater Settlement.

There should be three officer NPCs to talk to here. Grace Larson, Charles Douglas, and Senait Ezera, who will unlock Clans, the Firing Range, and Dark Zones respectively. You’ll find Grace Larson on the top floor of the Theater Settlement. Talk to her and she will be recruited.

Once you have recruited Grace Larson, you will need to travel back to the ground floor of the East Wing of the White House. Talk to her again and Clans will be unlocked. Once unlocked, you’ll need to talk to Grace Larson whenever you want to set up a Clan or join one.

Create a Clan

Choose Create Clan to set one up. You’ll get to choose a name, pick an Insignia, and define its preferences, which includes the likes of its region, language, activities, and more). Once you have created your Clan, head onto the pause menu. From here, you will be able to invite other players. You’ll need at least 4 members in your Clan before you can earn rewards and unlock bonus features. Be sure to have some players in mind before setting up any The Division 2 Clans.

Join a Clan

Grace Larson also gives you the option to join a Clan. It’s straightforward stuff. After choosing to Find Clan, you will be able to search for the Clan that suits you. You’ll be able to search for whatever preferences you might have, such as the region, language, and playstyle. Better yet, you can search for the Clan you want by inputting its name. Let’s say you find a Clan that suits you online, simply remember the name and search for it in The Division 2. You should be able to find it painlessly and join without issue (as long as it isn’t full, mind).

Once you have joined or created a Clan, you can start to reap the rewards. You will also unlock the Strength in Numbers Achievement/Trophy for doing so. Isn’t that nice?
