Black Ops 4 Alcatraz Map | What is the new Blackout location?

Since the start of the three-month Operation Grand Heist event in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, new content has been flooding into the game’s battle royale mode, Blackout. Yesterday, Treyarch teased more details on the long-anticipated Black Ops 4 Alcatraz map, which was only briefly featured in the Operation Grand Heist roadmap and release trailer. As we near the end of the three-month operation, this new Blackout map could even be the first segment of the next event after Grand Heist. Read on for more on Treyarch’s teaser, and to find out what is the new Blackout location?

Black Ops 4 Alcatraz Map

When Operation Grand Heist released earlier this year, it came with the promise of a “New Blackout Experience [REDACTED],” with parts of a darker map depicted in the event’s release trailer. Since then, we’ve seen no further details surface on the Black Ops 4 Alcatraz map. However, the blurry image above was featured on Treyarch’s Instagram story on March 31, with a countdown timer set to end at 10 AM PT on April 1 (via Charlie Intel). Depicting silhouettes parachuting into a structure resembling the island prison, this image could well be the first tease of an upcoming Alcatraz map release by Treyarch.

Of course, given the timing of the teaser countdown, this teaser could potentially be an April Fool’s joke created by Treyarch, much like the Splatoon Island game announced earlier today. However, this wouldn’t be the first April Fool’s announcement to actually be true, and the Alcatraz map has been planned for release since the advent of the Operation Grand Heist event. The countdown is set to end at 10 AM PT today, so if you’re hoping to see more on a Black Ops 4 Alcatraz Map, keep your eyes set on Treyarch’s Instagram story around that time.
