Apex Legends Playing With Friends XP Bug

The Apex Legends playing with friends XP bug is symptomatic of the game’s Battle Pass at large. When the Season 1 update landed, it brought the Battle Pass with it. If you purchased the Battle Pass, you should be in line to earn bonus XP from every match providing you squad up with friends on your, well, friends list.

This hasn’t been the case for everyone though. The issue, which first cropped up two weeks ago, was posted on the official EA forums by user AnubisNor. They explained that they weren’t receiving this bonus XP, despite gaming alongside their mates.

There was some confusion initially over this problem. Players jumped in to explain that you have to hit level 12 on the Battle Pass before you can begin accumulating bonus XP. However, others in the above thread have stated that their friends have been getting bonus XP despite being under this level cap.

Apex Legends Playing With Friends XP Bug

There isn’t an Apex Legends playing with friends XP bug fix right now. EA and Respawn are aware of the issue, according to community manager EA_Cade. However, nobody has been in touch to state what the deal is since a fortnight ago.

Players are aggrieved at this issue, and the replies since EA_Cade’s response show that it still hasn’t been sorted out either. The only thing you can do is reply with your own DxDiag file and complaint in the above thread. This will keep it at the top of the Bugs page, and hopefully help Respawn get a shift on.

You can, in the meantime, test out different party “leaders.” It may simply be the case that, for whatever reason, one (or more) people aren’t quite compatible with the game at this moment in time.
