Borderlands 3 Pre-order Guide | All Borderlands 3 editions and where to buy them

After years of waiting, gamers can finally get their hands on a Borderlands 3 pre-order and take their first steps towards blasting bad guys with a billion guns. There are multiple Borderlands 3 editions such as the Collector’s Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, and Deluxe Edition that are each worth your money, depending on how big of a Borderlands fan you are. The series has always featured a lot of cool pre-order goodies and this time around is no different. The are four distinct editions of the game have now been revealed, and each have their own special goodies for players to enjoy. Let’s get right into breaking down the different versions and what you can get!

Borderlands 3 Editions | Which Borderlands 3 edition should I buy?

Borderlands 3 Pre-Order

There are four distinct Borderlands 3 editions for players to choose from, each of which have their own special bonus content. Each successive edition adds more to the package for an increase in price, so that should make it easy to decide where to draw the line.

Borderlands 3 Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • Includes the base game along with the Gold Weapon Skins Pack and a Gold Weapon Trinket that can be applied to any gun in the game.

Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition ($79.99)

Includes everything in the Borderlands 3 Standard Edition and the following:

  • Retro Cosmetic Pack: Vault Hunter skin, Echo Device skin, weapon skin
  • Neon Cosmetic Pack: Vault Hunter skin, Echo Device skin, trinket
  • Gearbox Cosmetic Pack: weapon skin, trinket
  • Toy Box Weapon Pack: 2 Toy guns, Toy grenade mod, trinket
  • Equippable XP & Loot Drop Boost Mods

Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition ($99.99)

Includes everything in the Borderlands 3 Standard Edition and Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition along with the Borderlands 3 Season Pass.

Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition ($249.99)

Includes everything in the Borderlands 3 Standard Edition, Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition, the Borderlands 3 Season Pass, and the following:

  • Premium Diamond Loot Chest: Featuring a functional retractable lid, this chest is perfect for storing your real-world loot.
  • Borderlands 3 character figurines (x10): Make room on your shelf for the whole crew, including the four new Vault Hunters, the fanatical Calypso Twins, and some of your favorite characters from the Borderlands universe! Approximately 3.5” tall.
  • Sanctuary 3 snap model replica: Construct your very own Sanctuary 3 model ship and display it proudly on its included stand.
  • Planetary Vault Key, keychains (x4): Because you never know when you might stumble across an unopened Vault.
  • Cloth galaxy map: Discover new worlds beyond Pandora with Typhon DeLeon’s map of the Borderlands.

Borderlands 3 Season Pass

The Borderlands 3 Season Pass includes the following:

  • 4 (as-yet unnamed) campaign DLC packs featuring new stories, missions, and challenges for players to enjoy.
  • Butt Stallion weapon skin
  • Butt Stallion weapon trinket
  • Butt Stallion grenade mod

Unfortunately, you can’t purchase the Season Pass on its own just yet. You’ll have to pre-order the Super Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition to get it.

Borderlands 3 Pre-Order

So, now that you know you can get in your Borderlands 3 pre-order, you have to make the decision about where you’re going to buy it. Console players have plenty of places to choose from, but PC players will only be able to get their Borderlands 3 pre-order at a single store.

Borderlands 3 PC pre-order

If you’re going to pre-order Borderlands 3 for the PC, the only place you’ll be able to get it is the Epic Games Store.

If you want to buy a Borderlands 3 Steam version, you’re going to have to wait — the Epic Games Store has exclusivity for a year.

As for the Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition, a PC version is not yet available. There’s no word yet on whether or not the Collectors Edition will be made available for PC players.

Borderlands 3 Xbox One pre-order

Xbox One players can get Borderlands 3 digitally directly from the Microsoft Store.

If you’d rather get a physical copy of the game, you have several choices for buying it – The 2K Store, GameStop, and Best Buy. The Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition can only be purchased as a physical version.

Borderlands 3 PS4 pre-order

PS4 players can get Borderlands 3 digitally directly from the PlayStation Store.

Borderlands 3 Pre-Order

One of the first things players might be interested in seeing is the Borderlands 3 box art. (Click the above image to see it in better detail!) Borderlands 3 Standard Edition, Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition, and Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition all have variants on the box art that we now all know and love. Borderlands 3 Collectors Edition, however, has a much different look with a sleek black box.
