A World War Z crash after launch bug is stopping players from being able to start the game at all. As you’d expect, this isn’t a very good look for developer Saber Interactive. Find out if there’s a World War Z crash after launch bug fix that will sort out the problem.
World War Z Crash After Launch Bug | Game won’t start
As you can imagine, the World War Z crash after launch bug is infuriating players who just want to try out the survival horror shooter title from Saber and publisher Focus Home Interactive. Unfortunately, the issue seems to be affecting players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There’s a particular focus on those trying to launch the game through the Epic Games Launcher, but that doesn’t mean this is the only instance of it happening.
Multiple threads have popped up on the official forums, with PC gamers and other players reporting the problem to Focus Home Interactive.
Is there a World War Z crash after launch bug fix?
Not currently, no. There isn’t a World War Z crash after launch bug fix that is readily available, but that will be down to the fact that the game has only just come out. Thankfully, Focus Home and Saber are on the case though. Focus Home community manager “Jellyfoosh” asked people, who had been affected, to upload the crash dump that accompanies the immediate shutdown of the game when it occurs.
Some have already been doing so and giving the development team an idea of why this problem is persisting. With players unable to access a game that they’ve shelled out money for, it’ll be a top priority for Saber to get it sorted as soon as possible.
Another community manager called “Raibi,” in the PC thread above, told some users to check that their drivers were up to date. If yours aren’t, then this may solve the issue for you. For those who have the very latest update for their drivers, however, there isn’t a solution for you yet.
