Days Gone seems like the perfect game for split-screen co-op multiplayer. It’s got a vast open world, plenty of zombies to kill, and a sweet upgradable hog that just makes you want to ride in tandem. While there are a ton of zombie-themed multiplayer games, none of them feature the playstyle Days Gone offers. While it’s a single-player centric game, we’ll give you the scoop on Days Gone multiplayer options below and whether or not there is split-screen, co-op.
Is there split-screen co-op multiplayer in Days Gone?
Unfortunately, there’s no multiplayer in Days Gone. Even though the world is well-suited to a co-op experience, Deek has to go it alone, and there are no split-screen co-op modes available in the game. There are no announced plans to add multiplayer to the game, either.
That’s not to say that there’s no hope for Days Gone co-op multiplayer. We know the Survival Mode DLC, and weekly challenges are coming to the game in a free June update, so it’s possible Sony Bend Studio will work on adding multiplayer features. However, I wouldn’t hold your breath.
If you’re looking for a zombie game that features multiplayer you can try the games below:
- Call of Duty: Zombies
- Dying Light
- Killing Floor 2
- Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2
- Resident Evil 5
- Resident Evil 6
- Resident Evil Outbreak/Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 (if you’re feeling old school)
- Resident Evil Revelations 2
- State of Decay 2
- The Last of Us Remastered
- World War Z
All of these games feature multiplayer in one form or another. The ones that are closest to Days Gone are Dying Light and State of Decay 2. So, you can get a bit of open world zombie-killing action, though they don’t quite match the aesthetic of this game. Unfortunately, for now, you’ll just have to ride solo as Deek in the Oregon wilderness.
