Total War Three Kingdoms Map Stuttering Bug | Lag during gameplay

Total War Three Kingdoms Map Stuttering Bug

The Total War Three Kingdoms map stuttering bug affects players as they pan or scroll around the map to start new missions, find out where each of their armies is, or just to have a general look around. The issue has become so prevalent that it’s causing nausea among some people, and they’ve had to leave the game alone for the time being.

Numerous threads about the glitch have popped up on the game’s official forums since its release. Plenty of people have complained that these stutters range from one to five seconds, and using either the WASD keys or middle mouse button to move around doesn’t help the problem.

Total War Three Kingdoms Map Stuttering Bug | How to fix

Total War Three Kingdoms Map Stuttering Bug

Unfortunately, there’s no official Total War Three Kingdoms map stuttering bug fix from Creative Assembly or Sega yet. Players have resorted to taking the issue into their own hands though, and a couple have come up with some temporary solutions for the time being.

The first thing that you can try is to play the game in windowed mode. To do this, Right-click on the game icon in Steam. Open up Properties, and then Set Launch Options on the General tab. Type “-windowed” at the end of the new window that shows up on the screen. Apply this, click Ok, and then load the game like normal.

If that doesn’t work, you can press the K key to completely remove the UI. This fixes the problem, but you won’t have the UI to help you navigate around. Finally, you can try lowering your resolution down to 1080p. It’ll make the game look less impressive visually, but if it fixes this issue then you can’t complain.
