In this guide we’ll discuss the best ways to farm Terra Orbs, how to use the Orbs to craft the right gear, and even talk a little about some of the Terra items available to you for crafting in Ramsgate.

Dauntless Terra Orbs | How to farm Terra Orbs

If you want to acquire plenty of Terra Orbs, then you’re going to need to be prepared for the grind. While you can earn a small amount of these crafting materials through normal play, knowing which activities to complete will greatly speed the process up. That’s why we’re going to help you out by walking you through the best ways to farm for Terra Orbs so that you never have to worry about running out of them.

Dauntless Terra Patrols for Terra Orbs

Terra Orbs can be earned through normal Terra Pursuits, as well as through Terra Patrols. Patrols are the absolute best way to earn them, though, as you’ll receive 10 Terra Orbs anytime that you complete a Terra Patrol. This allows you to endlessly earn the Orbs without having to go out of your way all that much. On top of the normal Terra Patrols. You can also earn an additional 10 Orbs by completing Terra Patrols with your Daily Patrol Bonus Reward active. This will, of course, grant you 10 Orbs of whatever Patrol you completed, so if you need Blaze Orbs, or Shock Orbs, or any other type of Orb, you can also complete those particular Patrols to earn some extras.

Of course, another great way to get Terra Orbs is to break off different body parts from Terra Behemoths like the Kharabak, Koshai, and the Skarn. These are the three primary Terra Behemoths that you can fight in Dauntless, and they all three appear in Terra Patrols when you complete them. Terra Patrols rate from a Threat level of 3 up to 6. The Skarn is the weakest of the three Terra Behemoths, only requiring a recommended Power Level of 100 before you face off against it in Terra Pursuits. In the middle is the Kharabak, which sports a recommended Power Level of 250, coming in much stronger than the Skarn. Finally, the Koshai is the last of the current Terra Behemoths, though this one won’t be available right at the start when you unlock Patrols.

How to use Terra Orbs in Dauntless

Now that we’ve discussed how to farm for Terra Orbs, it’s time to talk about the various uses you’ll have for them. Like the other aether elements, there is an assortment of different Terra-based items that you can craft. These items include gear like armor pieces, as well as weapons like Chain Blades and even Ostian Repeater parts.

To start crafting with your Terra Orbs, you’re going to need to make your way to Ramsgate, the primary social hub in Dauntless. Here you can make your way to the main crafting area, where you’ll be able to speak with two primary NPCs, Wils Bormen and Moyra Heigsketter. These two are the primary smiths in Dauntless.

Dauntless Terra armor

When speaking with Wils Bormen, you’ll be able to choose from an assortment of different weapons from the Sword to the War Pike. Each weapon type has a variety of elemental variants, which all feature additional bonuses and modifiers based on the Behemoth parts that are used to craft them. The Skarn armor is a good place to start for Terra lovers, as it offers great protection and only requires you to farm parts off of the easiest Terra Behemoth. Of course, you can always go for armor from the higher-tiered Behemoths, just be prepared to farm a bit more.
