Fortnite Polar Peak Monster

Fortnite Polar Peak Monster | What is the creature in the sea?

The Fortnite Polar Peak Monster is one of the newest mysteries to emerge in Fortnite Season 9. Players are understandably curious about a creature that has been discovered floating out in the ocean — what is it, exactly, and how are players going to be able to interact with it? Let’s start with some video captured by an industrious gamer.

As you can see from the tweet below, there is something strange way out in the ocean right now. The Fortnite Polar Peak Monster is certainly a mystery, and no one has been able to get close enough to figure out what exactly it is just yet. Is it related to the mysterious giant eye we’ve seen frozen in the side of a mountain? How will players be able to interact with it?

Fortnite Polar Peak Monster | Rumors and Speculation

Fortnite Polar Peak Monster

From what we can see in the above Twitter video, the Fortnite Polar Peak Monster refuses to surface long enough for us to get a really good look at it. However, we do get to see that it is carrying some sort of castle-shaped building on its back. We could be looking at an Island Turtle, a mythological giant creature that carries an entire island on its back. People rarely realize that they are actually on this creature’s back until they notice that the entire island is moving.

Another potential target for the Polar Peak Monster is Godzilla. While our favorite radioactive lizard isn’t well-known for carrying buildings on his back, he does enjoy hanging out in the deep ocean. It’d certainly be cool to see him come into the game and destroy player-built structures! However, it also might not be Godzilla since our big lizard boy is involved in a crossover event with competing Battle Royale title PUBG Mobile.

Unfortunately, there just isn’t enough detail on the mysterious ocean monster just yet. One way or another, we’ll find out what it is before the end of Fortnite Season 9.
