Harry Potter Wizards Unite Dark Detectors are special Vault items that can be used at Inns. They help you to find more dangerous Traces, which is vital to stop the Calamity.
Inns can have up to three Dark Detectors attached to them at any given time. However, you’re restricted to attaching one at a time yourself. The other two slots are reserved for other players, so don’t think you can fill every spot with your own.
They have to be placed inside an Amplifier within the Inn, and they only last for 30 minutes. The number of Dark Detectors attached will also provide a greater detection range, with no attachments causing the gauge to be “empty” and three attached upping that rating to “high.”

In order to get more Harry Potter Wizards Unite Dark Detectors, you’ll want to visit the iconic franchise location known as Diagon Alley.
Diagon Alley acts as the in-game microtransaction store and lets you purchase items with gold. There are two packages on offer where Dark Detectors are concerned. You can buy a pack of three for 350 gold, or a larger pack of 15 for 1600 gold.
To buy items, tap the suitcase button in the game. Tap the shopping cart button to head to Diagon Alley. Scroll through the menu until you come across Dark Detectors, and then tap on it to buy it with gold.
