The first way, and the only way that we know of so far, to get Pokemon Sword and Shield Dynamax Crystals is to preorder the Dual Pack Steelbook Edition. This version of the game is already available for you to pre-purchase, and it comes with some goodies that you might want to get your hands on.

If you buy a copy of the Steelbook Edition, you will be given download codes for two Dynamax Crystals. You will be able to redeem these codes when Pokemon Sword and Shield comes out on November 15. Once you have them downloaded and installed, you should be able to pick them up from the nearest Poke Mart.
These crystals will give you a big, early boost in Pokemon Sword and Shield, but only once you catch a Pokemon that can be Dynamaxed. They will turn the tide of battles, however, so it might be worth forking out the money for this edition.
How else can I get Pokemon Sword and Shield Dynamax Crystals?
We don’t know what other methods will let you get Dynamax Crystals for your Pokemon. Nintendo has been quiet on this, and is only releasing the information it wants ahead of the games’ launch.
We suspect that you’ll be able to buy them in Poke Marts, and maybe even earn them as rewards for beating Gym Leaders or other Trainers. Once we find out more, we’ll be the first to let you know.
