It’s easy to start your freeze too early. You only get one freeze per log set, so if you do it too early and you’ve still got a log coming in the corner, it might not get into full view before you time runs out.
Buy the beards to increase your multiplier. Straight shots aren’t necessarily something you can bank on in certain stages to get you to the gold stars—having a multiplier boost will help push a respectable score up and allow you to open up more stages quicker.
