Code Vein pre-order and digital deluxe edition details | What edition should you get?
There are currently a total of three versions of Code Vein you can pre-order. Depending on how excited you are for the game will probably determine which version you will end up pre-purchasing.
The Code Vein standard edition, which is a physical version of the game that costs $59.99, comes with the full game, the God Eater weapon set, the Blood Veil Ogre: Venous Claw, and the Reserved Bloodkin Set. The digital edition of the game is essentially the same, but comes with a Code Vein theme if you pre-purchase for PS4. If you’re wondering what exactly all of this is, you can look to the above picture.
ALSO: Code Vein is anime vampire Dark Souls and that’s probably fine
The Code Vein digital deluxe edition pre-order, which costs $79.99, has a bit more digital goodies than the standard edition. Along with the aforementioned bonuses, you’ll also receive the DLC Season Pass, Accessory Set: Insatiable Bloodthirst, Blood Code: Astrea, Mia (Angel White Version), and a Mia Code Vein PS4 theme (if you purchase the PS4 version of the deluxe edition). If you want to see full comparisons of each version, here is a neat spreadsheet with everything listed, as posted by the Bandai Namco Twitter account:
Code Vein pre-order and digital deluxe edition details | How to pre-order where you should purchase Code Vein
Pre-ordering Code Vein is pretty simple. You can go to the game’s page on Bandai Namco’s website, select the desired version and platform, as well as which retailer you would like to make the purchase through. The PS4 standard edition is available through the Bandai Namco Store, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Target, EB Games (Canada), and Best Buy (Canada). The Xbox One version is available for the aforementioned retailers, as well as the Microsoft Store. The PC version is only available through the Bandai Namco Store. It should also be noted that the digital standard and deluxe editions for PS4, Xbox One, and PC are available through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam respectively.
If you want to purchase the physical standard edition of Code Vein, there are some perks to pre-ordering at certain retailers. Pre-purchasing on the Bandai Namco Store will earn you an exclusive set of pins, which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Pre-purchasing on Amazon will get a slight discount, from the standard $59.99 to $49.94. Going to GameStop for your pre-order may not get you a discount, but you can get an exclusive poster only available at the video game retailer. So, depending on what you want out of your purchase will probably determine which retailer you will make your purchase through.
