Wolfenstein Youngblood is the latest game in the Wolfenstein, which has been going for over 30 years and spans a dozen games, and (aside from multiplayer titles) all of them have starred square-jawed American soldier BJ Blazkowicz. However, Youngblood is not only the first co-op game in the series, it’s also the first game not to star Blazkowicz. In Wolfenstein Youngblood BJ being missing is the focus of the game’s story, but is it possible to unlock BJ and play as him? Let’s have a look.
Is it possible to play as Wolfenstein Youngblood BJ Blazkowicz?
Being the only game in the series not to star BJ Blazkowicz, it’s natural to assume that at some point BJ becomes available to play, such as at a certain story point or at the end of the game. Maybe he’s even a secret playable character who has to be unlocked with Silver Coins or completing some missions, or worse, maybe he’s a DLC character? Unfortunately, the answer to all this is “no,” as BJ Blazkowicz is not playable in Youngblood and cannot be unlocked in any way.

Why isn’t BJ Blazkowicz the star of Wolfenstein Youngblood?
Wolfenstein Youngblood is set almost 20 years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and he’s a much older man now. Regardless, the entire point of the game is that you play his twin daughters Soph and Jess, who are searching for their father across the entire story. It wouldn’t make much sense to have BJ show up and begin searching for himself. Furthermore, after having a male protagonist in literally every other Wolfenstein game, developer MachineGames clearly decided that it was time for a female player character, which is why both of the main characters are female.
