A new Street Fighter 5 free trial has been announced giving players who have yet to check out Capcom’s popular fighter without having to pay a dime. Available for PS4 and PC, you can download the trial through the PlayStation Store and Steam. This guide will give you all the information you need to get started with the Street Fighter 5 free trial, including the trial’s duration and which fighters will be playable.
Street Fighter 5 Free Trial | Start and end times
You will not have to wait very long if you want to participate in the Street Fighter 5 free trial. Beginning Thursday, August 1, 2019, you will be able to play from a slew of characters, including some fairly recent additions to the game. If this week doesn’t work for you, don’t fret. The free trial period ends on Sunday, August 11, 2019, giving you more than enough time to check it out. Specific start and end times for those two dates have yet to be announced.
It should be noted that this free trial period “coincidentally” falls during Evo 2019, one of the biggest fighting game tournaments of the year. If you are having trouble picking a character or developing a viable strategy against your opponents, it may be a good idea to check out some of the competition happening in Las Vegas during the weekend, from August 2 to August 4. The Street Fighter 5 Finals are slated to be on Sunday, August 4.

Street Fighter 5 Free Trial | Playable roster
During the almost two week period, you will be able to play the full version of the game. This includes the base roster of 16 fighters and all of its game modes. Additionally, you will have access to Street Fighter 5 Season 3 DLC as well, adding an extra six characters to choose from.
While it isn’t confirmed, previous free trial periods allowed players who owned the game but not the season pass characters to check out the DLC roster available through the trial. Here are all the characters you’ll be able to use in the Street Fighter 5 free trial:

Street Fighter 5 Free Trial | Limitations
There are a few, but pretty obvious limitations, to the Street Fighter 5 free trial. Namely, you will need a Steam and/or PlayStation account in order to download the free trial. While a subscription service is not needed to play online on PC, you will need a PS Plus subscription to play the free trial.
