Collecting the Secret Seashells in Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake can grant you a fantastic item if you’re willing to put in the time. In the original game there were 26 seashells in total, but one of the big changes in the remake is that more have been added.
What do you get for collecting all the Secret Seashells in Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake?
There are more than 26 Secret Seashells in the Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake. As stated above, the original game used to only have 26, but that’s changed in the Switch version. Once you have collected a total of 15 shells you can head to Seashell Mansion to get the Seashell Sensor that makes finding these hidden items a lot easier. If you haven’t discovered Seashell Mansion yet, you’ll find it in roughly the center of the island.
Once you deliver all the shells you’ll get the Seashell Sword (a.k.a. the Level 2 Sword) which is twice as powerful as Link’s basic sword. The Seashell Sword also has the ability to fire laser beams when Link’s health is full, which gives you a powerful ranged attack without the ammo limitation you face with the bow.
This guide is a work-in-progress and we will be updating it as we find more seashells!
