Jedi Fallen Order Dark Side

Can you use the Dark Side in Jedi Fallen Order?

Sometimes it feels good to be bad, and many players are going to want to know if you can use the Dark Side in Jedi Fallen Order. Many Star Wars games in the past have presented a choice between the Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force, with the story changing depending on which the player selects. So, you could assume that Jedi Fallen Order would also allow you to steer Cal Kestis towards the path of Vader if so desired.

However, two different paths mean crafting two separate story branches. This can be done more easily in an RPG or action game. However, Jedi Fallen Order‘s progression is tied extremely closely to the plot, which could make it challenging to present players with what would essentially be two different narratives. We’ll delve into whether you can use the Dark Side in Jedi Fallen Order into more detail below.

Editor’s Note: Spoilers for Jedi Fallen Order below.

Can you use the Dark Side in Jedi Fallen Order?

It seems like Jedi are just itching to use the Dark Side throughout Star Wars lore. How many stories have been written in Star Wars novels, games, TV shows, and movies about a warrior of Light turning to the Darkness? So many Jedi turn evil that it sometimes seems like the galaxy would be better off without them.

However, Cal Kestis is one of the few Jedi in the Star Wars universe that remains steadfast in his adherence to the Light Side. Regardless of what happens, he continues to pursue his desire to be a Jedi Knight and bring peace to the galaxy by defeating the Empire.

No matter how much you want Cal to start shooting lightning bolts from his fingertips, it’s a no go. You can’t use the Dark Side in Jedi Fallen Order. In fact, you can’t even get a sweet red lightsaber.
