One of the benefits coming with the use of the latest version of Microsoft’s set of application programming interfaces is a superior and steadier frame rate. As every Fortnite Battle Royale player knows, this shooter needs to run as smooth as possible so that you can make every shot count, without any kind of stuttering getting in the way of you achieving the desired victory. Naturally, you need to own a high-end GPU so that Fortnite makes the most out of DirectX 12.

The Fortnite dev doesn’t plan on stopping there regarding the use of DirectX 12, and is already planning on creating additional features to make the most of the collection of APIs. Epic says that giving players the choice to opt into DirectX 12 early on will allow them to gather valuable feedback and carefully craft the most anticipated features, not to mention squashing some annoying bugs with the help of the community.

You should be able to help the team to test DirectX 12 in Fortnite right now, so boot up your favorite battle royale and give it a go. Don’t forget to let the devs know if the matches really feel more stable and with a higher frame rate, and what kind of improvements you would like to see find their way into the game.
