Let’s be honest, Fortnite Chapter 2 is a pretty wild one so far. Perhaps one of the most unique mechanics allows players to pick up a downed player and “yeet” them off of a cliff, ramp, or whatever other structure you’d like. It’s pretty satisfying to launch a player off the side of the map, but only if you know how to do it. So, here is how to yeet an opponent in Fortnite.
How to yeet an opponent in Fortnite
If you want to get in on the fun of throwing someone off a cliff in Fortnite, then you’re in the right place. Thankfully, yeeting an opponent is actually pretty simple, and will only require you to press a few buttons. For starters, you’ll need to down or find a downed opponent — the perfect candidate to be yeeted. Next, walk over to them, follow the on-screen command to pick them up, and then press RT/R2 (the shoot button) to yeet them.

If you truly want to yeet an opponent, you’ll need to follow the instructions above. Of course, you can always just pick them up and drop the downed opponent off of a tall structure, but you won’t have technically yeeted anyone. Further, if you’re trying to complete the “yeet and opponent and deal fall damage” challenge, you’re going to need to throw them instead of dropping them.

Finding a downed opponent can be tricky sometimes, so your best bet is to play in Team Rumble or in Squads. In bigger games like this, you’ll have a much better chance of coming across a downed opponent that can be yeeted.
Now that you know how to yeet an opponent in Fortnite, get out there and start yeeting. Further, here is where you can find the Pipeman, Hayman, and Timber Tent locations for the Trick Shot challenges.
