Battle royale fans trying to track down the hidden Fortnite letters in Chapter 2 Season 1 are nearing the end of the Alter Ego challenge. Each of the letters combine to spell out F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E, and clues to the location of these letters are provided through the game’s many loading screens. Now that the final hidden letter has arrived, we’ve put together this handy guide with a map and details to the locations of all Fortnite hidden letter locations in Chapter 2 Season 1.
All Fortnite Letter locations in Chapter 2 Season 1
There are a grand total of eight different letters players will need to find in the latest Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 challenge. Having released over the past weeks, the latest letter has just been revealed, meaning we can at least provide a location for each letter as well as the map with every letter location featured above.

Having a map of all Fortnite letter locations is handy, of course, but we’re sure some players will need just a bit more detail. After all, the letters wouldn’t really be considered hidden if they didn’t take any effort to find. Keep reading to learn the specifics of each Fortnite letter location for the Chapter 2 Season 1 Alter Ego challenge.
Hidden F in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The Hidden F in Fortnite Chapter 2 can be spotted in the New World loading screen. The image clearly has the F located on a small hill just outside of Lazy Lake. To find it, jump into a match and head toward Lazy Lake. From there, head east away from the area and look for the letter sitting on a hill near a rock and tree.
Hidden O in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The Hidden O is featured in the familiar fishing loading screen offered alongside the Open Water Challenges mission. This one is fairly hard to see, but keen-eyed players will spot the O hiding underneath the deck of the building in the background. To find it in-game, head to the northern extreme of the map near the docks at Craggy Cliffs. Look for the northernmost building, then follow the cliff around to the scaffolding supporting the deck to grab the Hidden O.
Hidden R in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The Hidden R can first be seen in the Forged in Slurp loading screen, tucked away under a deck much like the Hidden O. Experienced players will note the location as Slurpy Swamp, so head toward the southwest end of the island. Once arrived at Slurpy Swamp, make way to the northeastern end of the area and look for the factory’s waste pipe. The Hidden R can be found under the pipe, just a short ways inland of the river.
Hidden T in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The first Hidden T location is provided in the Dockyard Deal loading screen. More specifically, it’s sitting toward the top of the image, peeking out from behind a rail leading up to a crane. That crane is located at Dirty Docks, so drop into the map and head that way. Once arrived at the docks, look for the pair of big orange cranes near the south side of the location. The Hidden T will be floating on the highest platform between them.
Hidden N in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
Details about the location of the Hidden N are featured in The Lowdown loading screen. Specifically, the N is on the left-hand side of the image, which looks to be placed in some kind of hangar. As it turns out, players can find the EGO Hangar just southwest of Holly Hedges. To locate it, head due southwest of Holly Hedges toward the roadway. After spotting the hangar, head inside to find the N floating above a set of barrels.

Hidden I in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The Hidden I is featured as part of the Hunter and the Hunted loading screen. It’s easy to spot thanks to the letter’s coloring, with the image showing it on the second story of a barn behind a wooden railing. The barn, of course, can be found in Frenzy Farm. Drop into a match and head to the location, then look for the large barn near the area’s northeastern corner. Make your way inside to find the Hidden I floating on the second story near a east-facing window.
Hidden T in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The second Hidden T is shown in the Trick Shot loading screen, sitting rather openly in the shade underneath a bridge. If the picturesque forest setting didn’t give it away, that bridge is located in the Weeping Woods. Head to that area and look for the part of the river where the water turns into rapids. The Hidden T will be western side behind a few breakable wood planks.
Hidden E in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1
The final letter that players need to track down is the Hidden E, and the loading screen in question is quite clearly placed at the new Hydro Dam outside of Slurpy Swamp. This is one of the easier hidden letters to find, as the E is floating in plain sight above a light pole at the top of the dam. To acquire it, head toward the Slurpy Swamp, then make your way east. When you arrive at the dam, climb to the top and look for the light pole, then build up to it and claim your prize.
