Less than two weeks since its last update, you can download and install the Gran Turismo Sport 1.52 update right now. It’s not as exciting as the last update, however, which added in brand-new DLC support as well as a variety of other things, including new cars and campaign rounds to play. Despite this, you can skip to the end of this guide to read through the complete list of Gran Turismo Sport 1.52 update patch notes. Read on to discover exactly what this update fixes.
Gran Turismo Sport 1.52 Update Highlights
As stated above, the version 1.52 update for Gran Turismo Sport isn’t a big one. Indeed, it’s only around 152 MB to download. Big things can come in small packages, however, and the 1.52 update is an important one following the release of 1.50. Game save files should now work for everyone thanks to this update.

Game Save File Bug Fix
This 1.52 update has just the one patch note. It fixes a game save file bug that appeared following the release of the 1.50 update. Since the release of that update, new players have been entering the game thanks to sales during the Black Friday period. Any of these new players (or anyone else, for that matter) who updated the game to 1.18, played it and then updated to version 1.50 would have found that their progress in Gran Turismo Sport had stalled and that you were unable to buy any new cars.
Thankfully, this poor error has been fixed thanks to the 1.52 update. Once you have downloaded this game, you should be able to play the game and progress normally once more. Unfortunately, when you turn it on again after installing the update, you should only have the gift car that’s awarded on starting a new game in your garage. It seems you’ll have to buy any car you lost all over again. Sorry.

Main Features Implemented
- Fixed an issue wherein cars were unable to be purchased and the game could not be progressed when a user upgraded ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ first to Update 1.18 (from a PlayStation®Hits or any other 1.00 version), then to Update 1.50.
- Please note that while this update will make it possible to play the game with Save Data files rendered unplayable by Update 1.50, the garage will contain only the Gift Car that would be awarded on creation of a new game.
- We deeply apologise for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
