Destiny 2_ Season of Dawn Exotics _ All new exotic weapons and armor

Destiny 2: Season of Dawn Exotics | All new exotic weapons and armor

Destiny 2: Season of Dawn is here, and that means a new pool of exotic loot for Guardians to collect. The new Destiny 2: Season of Dawn exotics include three new exotic armor pieces (one for each class) and three new exotic weapons. We’ll run through all Season of Dawn exotics in this guide, including the Severance Enclosure Titan chest piece, The Bombardiers Hunter boots, the Promethium Spur Warlock boots, the Symmetry scout rifle, the Devil’s Run sidearm, and the Bastion fusion rifle.

Destiny 2: Season of Dawn Exotics | All new exotic armor pieces

Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks each received one new exotic armor piece with Season of Dawn’s launch. None of these exotics have any quests tied to them. Instead, they are available through the random exotic drop loot pool. Luckily, as Bungie specified in the update 2.7.0 patch notes, all exotic engrams will now act as the “Fated Engram” item, meaning they will only drop exotics you don’t already have. This means these pieces should be a little easier to get.

Destiny 2: Season of Dawn Exotics | All new exotic weapons

Season of Dawn brings three new exotic weapons to the game. Each is acquired through a different means, which we’ll specify in each weapon’s description.

Exotic scout rifle: Symmetry

Season pass owners can immediately obtain this exotic as part of the “Premium [Class] Rewards” package unlocked at rank one. Those who do not own the season pass can unlock it at rank 35, instead. The Symmetry has two fire modes: normal and “Revolution” mode. In normal mode, it fires regular Arc rounds at 260 rounds per minute. In Revolution mode, it fires “Arc Seeker” rounds, which travel slowly but track enemies. Precision hits in the normal fire mode build up the “Dynamic Charge” effect, which stacks up to 15. Stacks of Dynamic Charge grant a damage increase and partially reload the magazine when switching to Arc Mode. The effect lasts for 10 seconds.

Exotic sidearm: Devil’s Ruin

The Devil’s Ruin works somewhat like Halo’s Plasma Pistol: The Close the Gap perk allows players to either tap the trigger for individual shots or hold it to charge up a high-powered laser. This laser staggers targets and is strong against Unstoppable Champions. Additionally, fully charging the laser refills the magazine. This gun will be available through a quest beginning January 7, 2020.

Exotic fusion rifle: Bastion

This exotic fusion rifle has the unique perk Saint’s Fists, which allows the weapon to be charged to fire three spreads of kinetic slugs. It also contains the perk Breakthrough, which allows it to partially bypass enemies’ elemental shields. The Bastion will be available through a quest beginning January 28, 2020.
