If you don’t know how to get “Instant Victories” in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, then you may be a little confused when you see the message appear on the screen. You might think that winning a battle without actually fighting the enemy is a bit odd, but it’s actually a key mechanic to help prevent you from wasting time with lesser enemies. Here’s what you need to know about how to get Instant Victories in DBZ: Kakarot.

An Instant Victory is a helpful little mechanic that automatically awards the player with the win. This occurs when the player character is too strong for the enemy, meaning that a full-on encounter would be a waste of time for everyone involved. Instead, the player will automatically take down the enemy in a single punch, earning the win.

If you’re wondering which enemies can be beaten without needing to fight them, you simply need to observe the color of their mark. If it’s blue, then they are super weak and your character will perform an Instant Victory on them. Try to do this against other colored enemies, however, and you might be in for a nasty surprise!

Though it may seem like a good way to grind XP, Instant Victories only activate against mostly worthless enemies. So roaming the area looking for Instant Victories really isn’t worth your time. You may as well just invest in a tougher enemy and get more XP that way. After all, actually playing the game and fighting tough opponents is what we’re all here for, right?!
