Tips for beating Dodoria in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Dodoria can be a serious pain for those who are hellbent on spamming combos at him and forgetting to block. With some of his tough-to-dodge moves, you’ll find it difficult to move out of his way. However, by blocking, you significantly reduce incoming damage. This is the main key to winning this fight, but there are also some other strategies specific to both Gohan and Vegeta.

Gohan vs Dodoria tips
- Ensure you utilize Krillin as the support character. He is especially useful at healing Gohan, which ultimately allows Gohan to outlast Dodoria by blocking and continuing to heal.
- Continue to block often and know that you don’t always need to finish your combo. Sometimes blocking early is better than landing a combo and leaving yourself open to a big attack.
Vegeta vs Dodoria tips
- Vegeta is fighting Dodoria without any support, which means you need to be extra careful as Dodoria will be totally focused on your character. Remember, again, that it’s often better to block than to miss a crucial dodge. Dodoria isn’t messing around this time and the damage he dishes out can be lethal if left unblocked.
- Once you’ve blocked and/or dodged Dodoria’s powerful attacks, you’ll want to make use of Vegeta’s Galick Gun (for when Dodoria is staggered) and Consecutive Energy Blast (good for interrupting a moving Dodoria).
It’s important to remain patient for both fights, especially towards the end when Dodoria is sent into a frenzy. Plan your attacks well and don’t be afraid of this fight taking multiple attempts. Once you’ve got it down, an “S” rating is certainly possible!
