Developer Typhoon Studios has kindly given Journey to the Savage Planet a choice of characters to play as. Be it a man, woman, or a dog(!), players can select one of ten different characters to embody during their playthrough. But what exactly are the differences between dog and humans? Here’s what you need to know about Journey to the Savage Planet character choice.
Which character should I choose in Journey to the Savage Planet?
Though it may seem like a monumental decision to start the adventure with, character choice in Journey to the Savage Planet doesn’t actually have that big of an impact on your playthrough. For example, playing as the dog doesn’t make you walk on four legs and have additional jumping prowess. No, even though you picked the dog character, you’ll still be walking on two legs.

Difference between dog and human character choice
The differences between the characters are pretty simple. If you choose a male character, your character will have a male voice (it’s the same voice for all male choices), and if you choose a female character, your character will have a female voice (again, it’s the same voice for all female choices). With the dog character, the difference is also to do with voice. Instead of human grunts, the dog will instead pant and whine like a dog.
Voice is the only difference between characters. There are no additional benefits or disadvantages tied to being a dog or human. The choice is purely down to the voice you want your character to have.
