Rebellion’s latest foray into the Zombie-shooter realm has brought about Zombie Army 4: Dead War. What you want to know, however, given that you’re here, is the answer to “are there Zombie Army 4 microtransactions?” In this guide, we’ll let you in on whether there are microtransactions in the game or not. Read on to get the low-down on microtransactions in Zombie Army 4.

Are There Zombie Army 4 Microtransactions?

Zombie Army 4 microtransactions

Yes, there are microtransactions in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. Thankfully, however, the microtransactions available are not what you’re thinking. There are no loot boxes (or equivalent) in the game, nor is there any kind of in-game premium currency that is purchasable with your hard-earned cash. What we have here is the old school microtransaction: the weapon skins, character outfits, and such.

ALSO: Daemon X Machina is coming to PC surprisingly soon

A quick look over at the game’s Xbox Store listing details what kind of item you can purchase. This includes weapon skins bundles such as the Repeater Rifle Bundle, which costs £4.19 in the U.K. This bundle contains the following for that price:

  • M1895 Repeater
  • 2 charms (Bash Cowboy Hat + Jade Cat)
  • 2 bespoke weapon skins (SB Bronze + Jade)

There’s a similar FG-42 bundle you can buy for the same price, too. It appears as though the following microtransactions can be made in Zombie Army 4 as of writing:

  • FG-42 Automatic Rifle Bundle (£4.19)
  • Repeater Rifle Bundle (£4.19)
  • Solid Gold Weapon Skins (£3.29)
  • Undead Airman Character (£3.79)
  • Undercover Karl Outfit (£4.19)

What’s unclear, however, is if all of these items are included in the Season Pass, or if you can buy everything from the Season Pass separately. As far as we’re aware all of the items above are included as part of the Zombie Army 4 Season Pass One (£29.99), you can just purchase them separately if you would prefer to pick and choose the DLC you add to the game. But yeah, there does seem to be microtransactions in the game, just not the sort you’re liable to find particularly annoying.
