Ghost Recon Breakpoint Immersive Mode

What is Immersive Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint?

The long-awaited Ghost Recon Breakpoint Immersive Mode has been delayed beyond its initial end of February 2020 release date. It will release in Spring 2020. If you’re here, though, you’ll be wondering “what is Immersive Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint?” Wonder no more. We’re here to let you in on what the upcoming Immersive Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint could be. Read on to find out what Immersive Mode could be when it releases this Spring.

What is Immersive Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint?

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Immersive Mode

Ubisoft first mentioned the upcoming Ghost Recon Breakpoint Immersive Mode back in October 2019 in its “Moving Forward” post. Since then, however, the developers have delayed the project for a better, more immersive Breakpoint experience. It should release this Spring, rather than the tentative end of February release date of before. This is because the “objective with the new immersive mode is to provide an impactful update to the game using” player feedback “as the foundation.” Immersive Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a new more immersive mode that makes the most of fan feedback.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft has provided little-to-no detail as to what the Immersive Mode will be. All we know is that it’s coming in the Spring and is based on player feedback. It may or may not be more immersive. As Ubisoft is supposedly following player feedback, we do know some areas where the game might change, however. These are as follows, as per the revealed community survey results:

  • “Sell All” weapons and gear option
  • Ability to deactivate other players in Erewhon
  • Ability to sprint in Erewhon
  • Added AI Teammates
  • Adjusted survival elements
  • Base Jump improvements
  • Camera improvements
  • Compass on HUD
  • Enemy AI improvements
  • GPS System on TacMap improvements
  • Improved vehicle handling
  • Increased character customization
  • In-game economy upgrade
  • Menu interface improvements
  • More Gunsmith customization
  • New clothing and gear items
  • New enemy types
  • New PvP content
  • New Skills
  • New story content
  • New vehicles
  • New weapons
  • Offline mode
  • Removal of Gear Score and Tiered Loot
  • Respawn system improvements

All of the above is currently being looked into by the Ghost Recon Breakpoint developers. We’ll learn more about the Immersive Mode on March 5th, so be prepared for something of an info-dump on that day. It will be interesting to find out what makes it and what doesn’t from the list above. We’ll update this guide when we learn more.
