According to Reuters, court papers showed that Apple “denied wrongdoing and settled the nationwide case to avoid the burdens and costs of litigation.”

Regardless, Apple is still going to have to pay up, and iPhone owners are naturally eager to take that cash from the multi-billion dollar company.

If you own or have owned an iPhone 6, 6S, 6 Plus, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, or SE that updated to iOS 10.2.1 or above, you may be entitled to some money. US owners of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus running iOS 11.2 or above are also covered.
