If you’re asking yourself “Why can’t I find a match in Call of Duty: Warzone, with the game failing to fill the lobby with players, leaving you to wait forever, know that others are also experiencing this frustrating situation. Us here at GameRevolution are also struggling to find games, with most of our time with Warzone spent in the lobby, watching the “Looking for more players” message as it taunts us. Obviously there’s a big issue impacting the game. Here’s what you need to know.
Why can’t I find a match in Call of Duty: Warzone?
Sitting in a lobby forever is no way to spend your precious gaming time. Unfortunately, for many players trying to enjoy the new Battle Royale and Plunder modes, this is the current situation. It’s highly frustrating, as the game’s 150 player count seems to never want to fill.

To try and work around this issue until an official fix is rolled out (or before servers and matchmaking becomes more stable), we’d recommend backing out of the lobby and trying again. Swapping game modes may yield some success, so if you were searching for Battle Royale, try looking for a Plunder match, and vice versa.
The next troubleshooting step is to reboot the game, before then rebooting your system. Be it PC, PS4, or Xbox One, this may help force the game into letting you play.
At the time of writing, Call of Duty: Warzone has just opened up to those who own Modern Warfare. In a couple of hours, Warzone will then become available to anyone and everyone. Here’s hoping issues like this are fixed before servers are hit with even more demand.
If Activision or Infinity Ward release any official announcements about fixes, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
