Fortnite 2.68 Update Patch Notes | April 21 Today

The Fortnite 2.68 update patch notes (12.41) are here, with the new patch now rolling out across PC, PS4Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms for today, April 21. This new Fortnite update demands a maintenance period, which is scheduled to start at 2 AM ET (6 AM UTC), with players having to wait around 1-2 hours during scheduled downtime. Once the servers are back up and running, you’ll be able to check out the latest changes to the game. This patch is also expected to contain assets for the upcoming Fortnite x Travis Scott event. If you don’t immediately start to see the Fortnite 2.68 update begin to download and install, you can use your system’s “Check for update” function to force the console, phone, or PC to search for any new patches. This should start the download process and bring you one step closer to checking out the latest changes.

Here’s what the new Fortnite update fixed, according to the game’s official community Trello:

General

  • Midas’ Golden Touch appearing in low resolution on weapon Wraps.

Battle Royale

  • UI disappears if cancelling Ready Up while spectating.

Creative

  • Double-clicking item in the Chest tab may cause the game to crash.

Mobile

  • Loading into “My Island” in Creative mode may cause Fortnite to freeze.

Dedicated dataminers have been digging through the game files looking for changes.
