The Apex Legends PS4 update version 1.35 is a small download offering only a few specific bug fixes. The patch weighs in at just over a 150 megabyte download, and was released just earlier today. As far as can be told, it seems that this patch is only for PlayStation 4 — Xbox One and PC players need not worry themselves.

Just two changes have been outlined in the 1.35 patch notes. The first involves the Playlist selector choosing Trios by default, specifically after Ranked matches. The second is a fix for the bug that caused controls to stop working after certain circumstances — picking up loot or changing Legends. Needless to say, it was a problem that needed a quick solution. The developers have also mentioned various crash fixes with this patch, but no other details have been provided.
Heads up, Legends: This afternoon, we pushed through a patch for PS4 that addressed the following:
🔸Playlist selector defaulting to Trios after coming back from a Ranked game or after switching Legends
🔸DPad/cursor menu controls not working after picking up loot
🔸Crash fixes— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) April 21, 2020
Apex Legends update 1.35 doesn’t have any new content to offer, but that’s probably to be expected. You may recall that update 1.33 notably added Duos as a permanent addition to the playlist, much to the delight of fans. That patch also introduced the Old Ways limited-time event, although the LTE has since concluded as of today.
It shouldn’t take long to download update 1.35, but it will be necessary if you plan to join any online matches. If you’re looking for more details about recent changes and balance adjustments in Apex Legends, be sure to check out our guide to update 1.33.
