Figuring out how to unlock the Saints Row 3 Remastered frame rate shouldn’t be something you should have to dig for. The remastered version of the game does let console owners unlock the frame rate, which isn’t something that they usually do. So how do you unlock the Saints Row: The Third Remastered frame rate?
How to unlock Saints Row 3 Remastered frame rate
The game runs at a locked 30 frames per second, but in order to unlock it and achieve a potentially higher frame rate, you need to go into the menu. Pause the game and go into the options menu. From there, go to Display and you will see the FPS Lock option. It defaults to yes, but click it to no to become the master of unlocking frame rates.

Changing it to no will unlock the frame rate, which is probably what you want. This has the potential to make the frame rate drop, too, but in our experience, that didn’t seem to happen in our multiple hours with the unlocked frame rate. Early reports claimed that even the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X ran at 30 frames per second, but this option may be in response to outcry over that limitation. It’s still a shame those platforms can run a 2011 game at a consistently higher frame rate. But, again, the unlocked mode is acceptable if there was not going to be anything at all in the first place.
The PC version, however, will let you play at higher frame rates, which is not outlandish for that platform. It’s not clear if that version will have the ability to unlock the frame rate though. But if it does, you can likely unlock it using the same method listed above.
