Riot Games’ LoL: Wild Rift is an exciting prospect: Built from the ground up, it reimagines the world’s most popular MOBA for mobile and consoles. Will League of Legends PC skins work in LoL: Wild Rift?
League of Legends: Wild Rift is intended to be a standalone experience, hence the differentiating subtitle. While this is definitely the right move to lower the intimidating barrier to entry for newcomers, it does mean that skins are non-transferable between LoL PC and Wild Rift. If you have a favorite champion skin on PC, unfortunately, you’ll need to re-purchase it in LoL: Wild Rift.

While cosmetics don’t affect game balance, Riot has previously pointed towards the fact that it wants Wild Rift to represent a clean slate of sorts. Immediately differentiating between the haves and have nots by transferring skins could run counter to that philosophy.
If you’ve purchased any playable champions on PC, unfortunately, there’s even more bad news. Although champions will be earnable in Wild Rift without the need for microtransactions, you will need to re-purchase any unlockable character(s) you want immediate access to.
Do LoL PC skins work in League of Legends: Wild Rift?
- No — skins you’ve acquired in League on PC are not transferrable to Wild Rift.
- Similarly, any champions you’ve purchase will need to be unlocked again.
At this stage, it’s unknown whether there’ll be total content parity between versions. This means that some PC skins might never feature in Wild Rift, and vice-versa.
