Is there a Ghost of Tsushima Xbox One release date?

Upcoming action-adventure title Ghost of Tsushima is being marketed for PS4, but will it also come to Microsoft’s Xbox console? Stick around for all the details on a potential Ghost of Tsushima Xbox One version, including whether there’s a known release date.

Is Ghost of Tsushima coming to Xbox One?

Ghost of Tsushima Xbox One

Ghost of Tsushima is not coming to Xbox One. With no plans for a port in place, there is no Ghost of Tsushima Xbox One release date. The game is being developed by Sucker Punch Productions, which is owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The developer falls under the new PlayStation Studios umbrella and is unlikely ever to release Ghost of Tsushima for an Xbox console.

A first-party PlayStation exclusive making the jump to Xbox would be unprecedented, so the odds of a Ghost of Tsushima Xbox One port are, unfortunately, slim to none. It’d be like Microsoft releasing the upcoming Halo Infinite (an Xbox One and Xbox Series X exclusive) on PlayStation. The game is definitively a PS4 exclusive at preset; with it launching so close to the end of the generation, there could, however, be potential for a PS5 version.

While it doesn’t look great for Xbox, Ghost of Tsushima could get an eventual PC launch. There’s nothing specific to suggest this at the time of writing,  though with Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding PC-bound Sony is at least showing willing.

If you do have a PS4 to play on, there’s still time to get your pre-order in ahead of launch. The Ghost of Tsushima release date is July 17, and there are multiple different versions available.
