A powerful new LMG has entered Call of Duty: Warzone‘s in-game arsenal. It’s called the Bruen MK9, and it’s a beast thanks to its high fire rate and damage output. If you want to get one for yourself, you’ll have to know how to unlock the Bruen MK9. Fortunately, there’s more than one way to unlock it.
How to unlock the Bruen MK9 in Call of Duty: Warzone
The cheapest way to unlock the Bruen MK9 in Warzone is to complete its unique challenge. This requires you to get three LMG kills on enemies near smoke in 15 different matches. Alternatively, you can purchase The Glitch LMG to unlock the Bruen MK9 through the in-game store.
Most players will probably prefer to unlock the weapon through the challenge rather than buying the weapon. Unfortunately, this challenge is very difficult for a couple of reasons. The first is that the challenge description is misleading: It says you must “get three kills when the enemy is near smoke using an LMG in 15 different matches.” However, many have reported that it’s not enemies that need to be near smoke, but the players themselves. The safest course of action is to try to get both yourself and enemies within the smoke cloud before earning the kill.
That’s easier said than done, because it’s tremendously difficult to pin enemies down in smoke during Warzone matches. As such, players have stated that it’s easiest to unlock the Bruen MK9 in Warzone by playing Modern Warfare multiplayer. Even the team at Activision has advised going after the challenge in MP. Unfortunately, that means paying for Modern Warfare with real-world money. Talk about an upsell, right?
If you’re not exactly eager to grind, you can simply purchase the Legendary variant of the Bruen MK9. This weapon is available through the Encryption store bundle, which packs in The Glitch LMG. This bundle costs 1,200 COD Points, and also throws in the Killer System emblem as well as the Easy Targets calling card.
