While Ghost of Tsushima‘s Jin has a number of ways of customizing his look to stand out in a crowd and strike fear into the hearts of his enemies, his horse is less flexible when it comes to appearance. Thankfully, there is still some flair to be gotten through unlocking different saddles. Here’s our guide on how to unlock more saddles in Ghost of Tsushima, along with a saddles location map!
How to unlock more saddles in Ghost of Tsushima
To unlock more saddles in Ghost of Tsushima, you’re going to need to first retake the Komatsu Forge. Upon doing so, a monk will want to talk to you. (You can see him marked on the map above.)
In order to get new horse saddles from him, you must collect Sashimono Banners. There are 80 hidden throughout Tsushima island, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for them.
Once you have enough banners, you can return to the monk at Komatsu to get a new saddle.
To see how many banners you need for the next new saddle, simply head your horse customization screen in the Gear menu. Scroll down the saddles until you’re highlighting the next unlock. It will then tell you how many banners you need to find.
There is no definitive best horse saddle in Ghost of Tsushima. They are all the same in that they don’t impact gameplay.
The best saddle to choose comes down to personal preference. Simply pick whichever saddle looks or sounds the most cool, equip it, and then let the adventure continue.
