Ghost of Tsushima Character Creation | Do you make your own protagonist?

Ghost of Tsushima character creation

Ghost of Tsushima does not feature character creation. Instead, everybody plays as protagonist Jin Sakai and follows the path set out for him by developer Sucker Punch. Although you can’t make your own samurai or alter Jin’s physical features, you can make the character somewhat your own by customizing his clothing and elements of his loadout.

As you can see from the images on this page, Jin can be customized to look quite different. There’s a wide variety of outfits in the game, which can also be dyed different colors. You’ll need to collect flowers in order to do so, with a certain number of specific colors required to achieve different effects.

While nailing the perfect look for Jin is fun and all, in Ghost of Tsushima, the latest PS4 exclusive, armor impacts gameplay. You’ll probably want to wear something light for sneaking, then switch to something more substantial when engaging in swordplay.

To unlock more customization items you can follow golden birds and discover hidden secrets. There’s no mini-map in Ghost of Tsushima to point you towards loot, so you’ll need to learn how to use the guiding wind and your environment in order to effectively navigate.
