Halo MCC Patch Notes | July 29, 2020 Update

The new Halo MCC update for July 29, 2020 is a relatively small one. Microsoft Store and Game Pass users can expect a download of just over 1 GB, while Xbox players will have to download just over 3 GB. Steam PC players, on the other hand, only need to pull down 47 megabytes for the new update.

As you may guess, the file size is small because it doesn’t change very much. This hotfix mainly centers around the Challenge system introduced alongside the imminent release of Halo 3. This update resolves an issue that was affecting challenge progress when played across multiple platforms. It also fixes the display bug that made it seem like no challenge progress — or less progress — had been made.

Otherwise, there’s really not much to unfold here. However, players should note that there are only a few hours left to unlock the Acrophobia skull and Alliance nameplate. These are free simply by logging in to MCCC, but only until 5 p.m. Pacific today. After that, the nameplate will no longer be available.
