Will Blathers the blathering owl not let you donate water critters to the museum? In that case, stick around for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Blathers won’t accept sea creatures fix. By following this Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch guide, your ACNH aquarium will be full of life in no time!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Blathers won’t accept sea creatures fix
Blathers won’t accept any sea creature donations until you’ve donated at least one fossil to him. You can dig up fossils by using your shovel where the ground is marked with a black star symbol. These “dig spots” are pretty common and shouldn’t take too long to find; after you’ve handed a fossil to Blathers the museum will now accept sea creature donations.
Sea creatures — like fish, sharks, and turtles — can be caught by using a fishing rod, then taken to the museum and shown to Blathers in order to donate them. If you’ve already given Blathers a fossil and he turns a sea creature down, it’s because you’ve already donated that species of animal. He’ll only take one specimen for each entry in the Critterpedia; dublicates can be sold or displayed by dropping them.
After donating sea creatures, you can visit the museum’s aquarium area to see all of the critters you’ve contributed swimming around. You can also ask Blathers for facts and interesting information on all of the species you’ve donated.
