Power Guide





Initially Deslin begins with simple melee and smoke powers, but over the course of the game he gains special new abilities, some of which add to his smoke powers and others that exist in altogether separate categories. Listed below are all powers in the game and their descriptions.





Melee

• Comet Drop: Press Square while airborne to slam into the ground. The higher the drop, the larger the shockwave.
• Dash Subdue: Dash towards a surrendering or coughing enemy, then quickly press Triangle to Subdue them, earning Good Karma.
• Dash Slam: Dash toward an enemy, then quickly Melee for a lethal takedown.
• Dash Strike: Dash toward an enemy, then quickly Melee for a sweeping attack.
• Enemy Drain: Executing a surrendering or coughing enemy will restore some energy.
• Execute: Press Square to brutally kill surrendering or coughing enemy, earning Evil Karma.
• Karmic Healing: Subduing surrendering or coughing enemy will restore some health.
• Obliterating Drop: Land directly on an enemy with Comet Drop to instantly obliterate them, earning Evil Karma.

• Car Boost: Jump while standing on a car to ignite its exhaust fumes and launch into the air.
• Cinder Blast: Press and hold R2 to charge and fire a heavy blast of smoke and embers. Useful for destroying enemy equipment and vehicle, but rapidly drains your Smoke Energy.
• Cinder Missile: Press R1 to fire an explosive ball of smoke and embers. Useful for destroying enemy equipment and vehicles, but requires Heavy Ammo.
• Corrosive Fumes: Coughing enemies are stunned for a longer time.
• Double Air Dash: Air Dash up to two times without touching the ground.
• Drain Smoke: Press and hold the Touch Pad to drain smoke stacks, wrecked cars or any other Smoke source.
• Enhanced Vent Launch: Smoke Dash into rooftop vents for a more powerful Vent Launch.
• Giant Sulfur Bomb: Increase the effective range at which a Sulfur Bomb will cause enemies to cough.
• Knockout Headshots: Well-aimed Smoke Shots will immediately Subdue some enemies, earning Good Karma.
• Obliterating Blast: Increase the lethality of the Cinder Blast so it will instantly obliterate some enemies, earning Evil Karma.
• Orbital Drop: With a full Karmic Streak, press down on the d-pad to launch into the air, then crash back down in an explosion of destructive Smoke power.
• Quick Drain: Drain from Smoke sources in half the time.
• Smoke Dash: Press circle to transform into a fast-moving cloud of smoke. Useful for closing in on isolated enemies or escaping combat to recover. Passes through fences and other obstacles.
• Smoke Shot: Press R2 to fire a medium range smoke attack.
• Sulfur Bomb: Press L1 to throw a non-lethal Sulfur Bomb. Enemies caught in the explosion will be overcome by uncontrollable coughing, making them easier to attack.
• Sulfur Headshots: Well-aimed Smoke Shots will cause enemies to be overcome with uncontrollable coughing.
• Sustained Fire: Increase the number of Smoke Shots possible in a continuous burst.
• Vent Dash: Smoke Dash into a red air vent to take a shortcut to rooftop level. Useful for escaping pursuit or gaining the high ground.
• Vent Healing: Dashing through a red air vent will restore some health.

• Deadly Stasis: Enemies killed while trapped in a Stasis Bubble will be obliterated, earning Evil Karma.
• Drain Neon: Press and hold the Touch Pad to drain neon signs, lights or any other Neon source.
• Endless Speed: Hold circle for a continuous Light Speed run.
• Enhanced Stasis: Enemies trapped in a Stasis Bubble can be subdued with a single Neon Beam.
• Extended Bubble: Increase the duration of Stasis Bubbles.
• Extended Focus: Slows down time for longer while zooming.
• Quick Drain: Drain from Neon sources in half the time.
• Laser Focus: Briefly slows down time while zooming. Useful for targeting enemy weak spots for Good Karma, or just shooting them in the head for Evil Karma.
• Laser Insight: Zoom to spot weak points on enemies. Shoot blue weak points to subdue them for Good Karma, or red weak points to execute them for Evil Karma.
• Light Speed: Hold circle to transform into a blazing streak of Neon light. Useful for crossing the city or escaping combat to recover. Runs over obstacles and directly up walls.
• Neon Beam: Press R2 to fire a long range neon attack.
• Phosphor Beam: Press and hold R1 to charge and fire an intense beam of searing light. Useful for destroying enemy equipment and vehicles, but requires heavy ammo.
• Photon Jump: Press X during a Light Speed run to jump high into the air.
• Radiant Sweep: With a full Karmic Steak, press down on the d-pad to knock enemies into the air and devastate them with raw neon energy.
• Rapid Refire: Fire Neon Beams at a faster rate.
• Speed Loader: Light Speed instantly recharges Laser Focus.
• Stasis Bubble: Press L1 to throw an expanding bubble of Neon energy. Enemies caught in this stasis field will be frozen in time, unable to move or fight. This makes it easier to target their weak spots to earn Good Karma, or just shooting them in the head to earn Evil Karma.

• Airwave: Hold X while in the air to glide forward and gain speed.
• Blade Flurry: Press R1 to launch a larger number of Bloodthirsty Blades.
• Blade Storm: Press R1 to launch the maximum number of Bloodthirsty Blades.
• Bloodthirsty Blades: Press R1 to mark a target and summon three Bloodthirsty Blades. Useful for destroying enemy equipment and vehicles, but requires heavy ammo.
• Demon Twins: Summon two demons at once to attack enemies.
• Double Air Surge: Air Surge up to two times without touching the ground.
• Drain Video: Press and hold Touch Pad to drain television, computer screens and any other Video source.
• Enhanced Invisibility: Sneak up on an enemy and subdue them without becoming visible again.
• Extended Invisibility: Increase the duration of Shroud of Invisibility.
• Extended Torrent: Fire Video Torrent for longer in a continuous burst.
• Hellfire Swarm: With a full Karmic Streak, press down on the d-pad to call an ethereal horde.
• Hovering Fire: Automatically hover while zooming.
• Quick Drain: Drain from Video sources in half the time.
• Narrow Band: Increases the accuracy and range of Video Torrent.
• Shroud of Invisibility: Press L1 to dissolve into faint pixels, becoming nearly invisible to enemies.
• Signal Boost: Press X during a Video Surges to jump high into the air.
• Summon Wingman: Summon a denizen of Heaven’s Hellfire as a distraction.
• Unholy Trinity: Summon three demons at once for an overwhelming force.
• Video Surge: Hold circle to swoop across the city. Flies over obstacle and directly up walls. Dash into Satellite Dishes to launch high into the air.
• Video Torrent: Press and hold R2 to fire a withering stream of damage.

• Boulder Dash: Press circle to charge forward in concrete armor.
• Concrete Barrage: Press R1 to launch a barrage of concrete slabs. Useful for destroying enemy equipment and vehicles but requires Heavy Ammo.
• Concrete Shrapnel: Press R2 to fire a medium range Concrete attack.
• Concrete Thrusters: Press L1 for a thrust-powered leap or hold L1 while airborne for sustained vertical lift.
• Double Lift: Release and press L1 again for a second round of lift.
• Drain Concrete: Press and hold the touch pad to drain defeated enemies for Concrete energy.
• Endless Dash: Hold circle for continuous Boulder Dash.
• Extended Dash: Increase the distance of Boulder Dash.
• Extended Shrapnel: Fire Concrete Shrapnel for longer in a continuous burst.
• Strength of Granite: Take 20% less damage while using Concrete.
• Strength of Stone: Take 10% less damage while using Concrete.
• Triple Lift: Release and press L1 again for a third round of lift.
• Wide Barrage: Makes the Concrete Barrage wider.
