Will there be a Hogwarts Legacy Nintendo Switch version?

Hogwarts Legacy Switch

A Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy has not yet been announced. It’s somewhat unlikely that a Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy will see release, either. As of writing, the game has been confirmed for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and the PC. With a tentative release date of 2021 for those versions of the game, without confirmation of a Switch version immediately, too, it seems unlikely that the game will be ported to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Stranger things have happened, however.

Without major downgrades in the game’s graphics, too, the Switch simply won’t be able to run the game. The rumored 4K Switch revision, however, could stand a better chance at running the game. Any such release would still need to be visually downgraded, however. It all depends on how well the game is received and whether or not there is an audience for it on the Switch.

It would take a lot of time and resources for Avalanche and Warner Bros. Games to port Hogwarts Legacy to the Switch. We won’t see it release on the Switch in 2021, at least. If a Switch version is to happen, expect it to take another year or so before it releases. As of writing, however, with no official word on a potential Switch version, it does seem rather unlikely. We’ll have to wait and see what happens and cross those fingers.
