The Apex Legends Champion Edition has been revealed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The new Apex bundle includes character unlocks, new skins, a gun charm, and 1,000 Apex Coins. It sure is a lot of content, but is the Apex Legends Champion Bundle worth it? Here’s the need-to-know.
How much is the Apex Legends Champion Edition?
Though Apex Legends is a free-to-play game, its rare cosmetics can be controversially expensive. The Champion Edition includes all character unlocks, six Legendary exclusive skins, a Legendary Gun Charm, and 1,000 Apex Coins. Normally this would equate to over $100’s worth of content.
The Apex Legends Champion Edition is $39.99. When you consider that it takes around $67.50 to unlock all Legends, and the $10 value of the included Apex Coins, not to mention the seven Legendary items, this comes across as a good deal.
Should I buy the Apex Legends Champion Edition?
New players buying the Apex Legends Champion Edition will benefit the most, as all characters will be unlocked from the start. Experienced players, on the other hand, are likely to already have some characters unlocked, which limits this bundle’s value.
For those new to Apex Legends who are certain that they’ll get their money worth in hours played, then the $39.99 price tag is a comparatively cheap way of accessing all characters and claiming some cool-looking skins.
For veterans who already own all characters, the Champion Edition doesn’t offer much outside of new skins, a Gun Charm, and 1,000 Apex Coins. With that said, when compared to event skins and Heirlooms, the $39.99 price tag is relatively inexpensive.
The Apex Legends Champion Edition includes the Season 7 Legend. It’s also expected that the seventh season will also introduce the 30-30 weapon, a lever-action rifle that uses heavy ammo.
