Fuser is a unique music game from Harmonix, the creators of Rock Band and Dance Central. The DJing festival simulator is pulling in strong reviews on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch right now. With its launch set to coincide with the next-generation platforms, are Fuser PS5 and Xbox Series X versions planned too? Here’s the need-to-know on next-gen ports.
Is Fuser coming to PS5?
The developers describe Fuser as “a nonstop virtual music festival where you control the music.” Now, that definitely sounds like the kind of visual and aural spectacle that could really benefit from being on PlayStation 5 hardware. Not only that, but it also seems like a chill experience to detox after getting obliterated in Demon’s Souls! Is it going to happen, though?
The PS4 version of Fuser will be fully playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility. Harmonix hasn’t announced a dedicated PlayStation 5 version of the game, however, so there’s no Fuser PS5 release date to look forward to.

The Fuser Twitter account responded to a fan inquiry regarding Fuser PS5 compatibility, confirming that the game “will be compatible with next-generation consoles.”
Is Fuser coming to Xbox Series X and S?
Fuser for Xbox One works on Xbox Series X and S via backwards compatibility. Though the current-gen version is playable on next-gen consoles, Harmonix hasn’t announced a dedicated Xbox Series X and S version to take full advantage of the new hardware.
Although there’s no Fuser Xbox Series X release date to mark on calendars right now, a port could be developed in the future. That’s speculation for now, but, if the game performs well, it’s in the realm of possibility.
