After picking up a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, some players can’t help but notice that something feels a little bit… off. It’s easy to dismiss claims of hackers and cheating, especially early in a game’s life, but where there’s smoke there’s often fire. So, are Black Ops Cold War hacks already available? Here’s the lowdown on cheating players in the new CoD on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
CoD: Black Ops Cold War Hacks | Are players using cheats?
Call of Duty has had a problem with hacks and cheaters for several years now. Rumors of an upgraded anti-cheat system for Black Ops Cold War provided some initial hope, but already, within its launch month, users believe that they’re encountering cheaters. Is that actually the case, though? Or is there just a learning curve to the new Call of Duty game?
CoD: Black Ops Cold War cheats and hacks are already available to download. Unsporting players are using aimbots, wallhacks, and ESP to gain an unfair advantage. Suspected cheaters should be reported in-game, though disabling cross-play is a good way for console players to avoid cheaters and hackers.
Most cheaters play on PC, as hacks are much easier to implement on the platform. Turning off cross-platform play in Black Ops Cold War on PlayStation and Xbox should help to address the problem as a result.
Using hacks to cheat takes the fun out of playing Black Ops Cold War, but also spoils the match for other users in the same session. There are no winners, especially if and/or when a cheater is identified and banned, so don’t be tempted to install them. Everyone else, be sure to take the time to report suspected cheaters in Black Ops Cold War.
