Cyberpunk 2077 requires players to visit several locations spread all across the in-game map. Night City is huge, and quests are rarely clustered close together. To help players get around more quickly, the developers at CD Projekt Red have implemented a fast travel mechanic. However, the system works differently than it does in other open-world RPGs, especially when it comes to using the map.
How to fast travel in Cyberpunk 2077
You can fast travel in Cyberpunk 2077 by heading to Tourist Information terminals. These fast travel points are highlighted by blue icons on the in-game map. While you can’t use them directly from the map, these terminals will allow you to quickly travel to any other terminal location.
In other words, you can’t simply jump to any location at-will. You have to first pull up the in-game map, then locate the terminal nearest to you. Walk there if you must, or drive your favorite car or motorcycle. After you arrive, you can use the Tourist Information console to quickly move between another terminals. From there, you can walk or drive from the terminal to your destination.
This system is perhaps a little different than you may expect. Many RPGs allow players to fast travel to and from any map location, but this is not the case in Cyberpunk 2077. However, this game’s system encourages you to explore all parts of Night City. If you simply jumped from quest marker to quest marker, you’d inevitably miss a lot of the game’s locations, characters, and side quests.
If you need to fast travel in Cyberpunk 2077, head to the nearest Tourist Information terminal. While you can’t travel directly from the map, you can at least use the map’s blue icons to find your way to the nearest console. From there, you’ll be able to quickly move around Night City.
